Sounds of the faraway seas.

Dear listeners,

We have come together to celebrate the union between two genres and their offshoots. Two types of music apparently distant in race, time and space but with sufficient points in common that their cross breeding can be something more than a mission of risk, an experiment or whim of the sea...

This quartet invites us to trust in these mixes which have both their own criteria and style. From the crest of the wave of every tempestuous Ocean the laws of gravity and equilibrium are defied. The soundtrack of this phenomenon is here; Jamaican and surf music, reggae and western, celluloid ska, rock&roll and dub, roots and swing, psychedelic and rocksteady and other satellites styles of music unite to take our ears on honeymoon.

From Valencia with members from Jamaican bands (Golden Singles, Ki sap, Malarians...) from Surf (Pataconas) and from new tendencies (Dr.Jau & Peanut Vendors, Dwomo) this combo brings an idea, a sound and a series of their own compositions which, together with adaptations of classics from genres of Jamaican roots with tones of surf and vice-versa to form a debut album (vinyl to be released by the label Golden Singles Records), a must, an apparent rarity, a curiosity, sweet and savage to the ear, accessible... and sexy.

The beach, the palms, the rude boys-cow boys, the mountains, the suffocating heat, the rhythms of the sea, the energy of dance music, the garlands, the attitude, the wild...are the common denominators in these genres that the laboratory of the El Gran Miércoles knew how to conjugate in a proposal not apt for the orthodox but essential for the curious and restless palates. Openi your mind in an experiment which brings you to a lazy and at the same time frenetic dance. Outlaws from Montego Bay, bandits of Waireka Hills, rude boys in an eternal search and capture mission, defiant in front of the waves. This is their vision and they play to defend it. They don’t hide on the scene, they are a rarity in a no-man’s land, a land of desert with sand from the beach. This is surfsteady.

With an energetic live performance this quartet bids for a repertoire 100% instrumental, calm and agitated, of carefully executed arrangements and elements representative of reggae, surf, classic ska, dub and western, in all their splendor, now in this new formula in the hands of veterans of the scene.

Agustus Pablo, Ventures, Skatalites, etc.... change swimsuits but they maintain the magic in this sensual proposal.

What music has brought together let man not separate. If anyone can show any just cause against this union let them speak now or forever hold their peace.

The bride and groom can now kiss and open the dance, at last...This is surfsteady!!

Hiszpańska scena to chyba obecnie najpłodniejsza scena w Europie. Ska, sh reggae, flirty z soulem, teraz wynalazki takie jak surfsteady. Chyba to słonce tak na nich działa.
